School Principal

LaDale Lofton brings over a decade of dedicated service to the Houston Independent School District (HISD), where she has had the privilege of working across diverse campuses with a wide range of needs. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply passionate about student achievement, educational equity, and fostering a thriving school culture.


Ms. Lofton began her journey in education at Elrod Elementary as a second-grade dual language teacher. She soon transitioned to third grade, where her instruction contributed to some of the highest student performance data in the school that year. Her commitment to excellence and student success naturally led her into leadership roles, where she continued to make a significant impact.


Ms. Lofton attended both Clark Atlanta University and Texas Southern University for her undergraduate studies, ultimately earning her degree from Texas Southern. She later received her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. She was also selected to participate in the Career Pathways leadership program, which was an initiative designed to develop and support aspiring educational leaders in HISD.


Throughout her career, Ms. Lofton has served in multiple capacities including Campus Interventionist, Teacher Specialist, and most recently, as an Assistant Principal for the past three years. In every role, she has prioritized high-quality instruction, collaboration, and a strong belief in the power of community and parent engagement.
Ms. Lofton believes that school culture and a growth mindset are the cornerstones of lasting success, and she is passionate about empowering both students and staff to reach their fullest potential. Outside of her professional life, Ms. Lofton is a proud mom of four. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and gardening. She is excited for the year ahead and looks forward to building on the strong foundation already in place, working together to make this school year the best one yet!
